A while ago I loaded a program for my Motorola phone (on XP Pro) which added a listing for a tool (called "OneSync") in my Outlook 2003 Tools dropdown box. I have since uninstalled this program and it doesn't appear in either the Add-In Manager or the Com Add-Ins list in Advanced settings. Yet it still appears in the Tools dropdown box. Can this item be deleted? I have OutlookSpy but I'm at a loss as where to find this item or indeed if it can be deleted using OutlookSpy - can anybody help please. Regards to all. Big Dave.

It's showing up on the Tools menu? Try resetting the toolbars - right click on the toolbar and choose customize - its also on the view menu - and reset each toolbar. (You might be able to just it from the menu instead of using reset.)

Thanks for that. It is not showing as a toolbar but in the "Tools" dropdown box accessed from the Menu Bar. There is nothing showing which relates to OneSync in the general toolbars.

That's the same tools menu that options is on? Try resetting the Menu - View > Toolbars > Customize. Switch to the Toolbars tab and select Standard then Reset. If its still there, click on Tools menu and select the command and drag it off.

here is a half a video <g> - http://screencast.com/t/jguQU920 -i recorded opening the customize dialog and resetting a toolbar but for whatever reason, it wasn't capturing until i opened the tools menu to drag commands off.

I'm sorry, I might not be making myself clear. The "rogue" entry is not on any toolbar such as "Standard" or "Advanced". To see the rogue entry I click on 'Tools' which is to the right of 'File' 'Edit' 'View' and 'Go' on the Menu Bar and is at the bottom of the dropdown box which contains the commands 'Send/Receive' 'Find' etc.

I have tried resetting the toolbars as per your advice but it is still there on the dropdown box. It doesn't appear on any of the toolbars, Standard, Advanced, Web etc. so cannot drag off.

Thanks for your help thus far.

Can you expand the Tools menu and drag it off the Tools menu? (Open the Customize dialog first)

Hi - Sorry to be so long in replying as I was away from my laptop. Success! Dragged the offending program from the dropdown list after opening the Customize dialog. Many thanks. :D

Not a problem - we like to take breaks too. :) Glad you were able to solve it.
