Reminders keep coming to users' calendar

We have one user (Outlook 2010) Exchange 2010, that keeps receiving a recurring (apparently) reminder at the same time on the same day. Her calendar (mailbox) is getting full but we can't seem to stop it. I have disonnected the mailbox, let the system maintenance run overnight, reconnected the mail box but the reminder is still coming in. How can I top this? Have been using Exchange for a decade and I have never had this happen. Help???!

Have you tried the cleanreminders switch?

Does the reminder belong to a meeting or an appointment? If so, deleting the original item should fix it too... if you can find it. If it's orphaned, you'll need to use cleanreminders.
