Hello!

My CEO change from Outlook Express to Outlook 2010 lately. For him I set up sorting order by date ascending (ASC). Sometimes he changes sorting by 'From' column and want back to previous view. But after click on 'Date' column the order of messages is DESC not ASC. So he have to click once again on 'Date' column to change DESC to ASC order.

It is very disturbing for him because he get used to keeping last selecting order by old OE.

Is it possible to set it to permanently remember the sort order for that column?

You can't lock views within Outlook - you could use custom views, but that's about as much work as changing sort order (and relies on the CEO changing views, not changing the sort order. Like that will work. :))

You can use VBA to lock views, but then he won't be able to change the sort order. You should be able to use VBA to switch the sorts but he'd have to use the button the VBA was assigned to, not click on the columns.

View.LockUserChanges Property (Outlook)
