Fairly regularly, Outlook will reset its temporary folder and all my emails will have placeholders for the images in my emails (the linked image cannot be displayed...). It has started happening more regularly, so I decided I would trick Outlook and create a new folder and point the temp files to there so that any kind of cache cleanup would keep the temp folder intact. Well, Outlook is apparently smarter than me. It keeps resetting the temp folder location in the registry and pointing it back to the default location with a new folder name. I tried to trick it back and just exported the registry setting to reset it back to my folder location whenever the placeholders re-appeared. Problem is this takes a reboot to restore the temp folder location for my images to re-appear in Outlook. Is there a permanent fix to the temp folder issue? Using Outlook 2013 with Office 365 on Windows 7 Pro machine.
Thanks!
PS How do I turn off spell check in posts? Apparently, I type faster than the spell check (I am a two-fingered typer so not that fast!) can check words and it skips lots of letters.
