automatically remove flags

I am using Outlook 2007.

I have emails from one of my accounts automatically flag for reply in one day. The problem is, when I delete an email the flag remains intact. When looking through my flagged items, I find items in the deleted folder.

How can I automatically remove flags when items are deleted?

Mark them complete or clear the flag before deleting them. You could use a macro to watch the deleted folder and remove the flag on items added to the folder. The macro at Flag all messages as they arrive (near the middle of the page) will do it - change the folder to olFolderDeletedItems and set the reminder to false.
 
Thanks Diane,

The problem only occurred after re-installing Win 7 and Outlook so I may have had a long forgotten rule or hack that I did not document.

I will add this macro today.
