Hi, I saw some relevant posts but didn't find anything specific enough to my question. My question is: I would like move my BCM 2010 database from a win7 local machine install to a 2012 server location on the LAN and share the database for access by a others in our dept. The server is not running any version of SQL right now. I was thinking of downloading the free SQL 2012 Express and installing that first. I see from various posts that can work. But that was in relation to a typical W/S with Outlook already installed, far as I can tell. So...
*Would I then need to do another type of install of BCM2010 to the 2012 server in order to set it up for use with SQL Express or to establish other registry info? (i.e., there is no Office or Outlook installed on the server itself) Or would I be able to simply move the win7 local database up there and then use another tool for setting up sharing? Or would I setup sharing first, then move the database? Or am I on the wrong track altogether?
Thanks for any help!
Chris
