I am running Outlook 2010. My computer has been attacked by a series of viruses, named such things as Ransom:Win32/Crowti and TrojanDownloader:Win32/Zemot, Backdoor:Win32/Simda, and others, including one that left little internet shortcuts in my data files for my billing program and my OUTLOOK. The little internet shortcuts say INSTALL_TOR and DECRYPT_INSTRUCTION fyi.
Since the attack, I am unable to open my outlook data. I get an error message that the file is not an outlook data file. But unfortunately, the file listed is in fact the location of my outlook data files. I went into CONTROL PANEL MAIL Data Files, and created a new file, so that I could open OUTLOOK and then tried to open the old data file from there, to no avail. Same error message. When I try to restore previous versions, there are none. Any suggestions? I have 6,945,000 KB of data in there. Years of archived emails.
