Duplicate emails in different "sent" boxes.

Will try my best to explain. I use Outlook 2010 POP3 and had a .pst file - and then went to Outlook Exchange. Both my accounts are showing up in Outlook but I keep the old file closed. I do have several different email accounts and the email is being forwarded from the old to the new BUT here is the problem.
When I send email from one specific account, it goes into my sent box which it should BUT it also goes into my old sent box - none of the other email accounts does this, just one and I have checked the settings and cannot find anything different.
Any suggestion as to how I can stop this? By the way, I was told that I could go to Properties in my old email settings and select"remove" it to avoid problems BUT if the mail is being forwarded, I don't think this is the way to go.

Go to file, account settings, double click on that account - what is the outgoing server?

I have been trying to figure it out again and funny you should ask this question:
I have several different accounts and two are showing the account settings using the datafile ending in pst and the others which are fine, are ost so I really think that is what is causing my problems. Now, how to a change them to ost without causing myself a problem?
