I'm trying to set up Outlook 2007 Professional on a new Lenovo with Windows 8.1 64 Bit. During E-Mail account setup, there is no "More Settings" button to allow me to finish. Without it I cannot send or receive mail. How can I access that screen or is there another way to input the Advanced Data?

See http://www.slipstick.com/outlook/how-to-create-a-new-profile/ for screenshots and a video tutorial - around 2:20 is the part that shows how to use automatic account setup and the configure more settings.

If you missed the manually configure button after the account was added, go to Tools, Account settings, double click on the account then More Settings.

Diane...Thanks for the quick reply. However, I've tried all of the above but there is one thing still missing...the More Settings button. I've even uninstalled Office and reinstalled. The actual software is the same that I was using on my Vista laptop with no issues. Can I send you a screen shot of my account setup page?

You should be able to post a screenshot here.

Here is another video, starting with just the account setup screen

Assuming you are using POP3, IMAP, or Exchange, you'll see these screens - if you are using Outlook Connector to set up Outlook.com accounts, you won't have the last screen - the options are limited and there aren't settings to configure.

Depending on which setup option you choose, you'll either click the manual configure button after autosetup is complete (instead of clicking Finish) or will set the account up manually.

Either box gets you to this screen:

Diane...I didn't know how to attach a screen shot into this forum so I pasted it into Word and then converted it to a PDF. I know, a long way around! Anyway, when you see the screen you will see my dilemma. I have no "More Settings" button in the lower right hand corner and on the next screen there is no "Finish" button. Once again, I did not have this issue when I installed it onto my Vista OS a few years ago. I appreciate any advice that you can offer. Thanks.

Hmmm. It looks like the whole dialog is messed up. Is this a small, high res screen? Is the display setting set to higher than 100% ? Control panel > Display > Change the size of all items

(Use the upload file button to add screenshots.)

Diane...Yes, it's a 13" with a 3200x1800 display. I changed the resolution to 1024x768 but still get the same results. There must be a compatibility issue.
(Upload doesn't support .doc files that I can tell.)

But wait! After reading your post again, instead of changing the screen resolution, I changed the "size of all items" and eureka, there were the missing buttons. I was able to configure all my accounts as needed. Thank you so much!

Cool.

You really have a 13" with 3200x1800? Can you read the text in the to\from\subject headers in Outlook without a magnifying glass?
