Hello,
first things first: I do know it's not possible to change an organizator of a meeting once created.
We work with several shared calenders. This is with mailboxes type "Shared", it is not actual people sharing their private calender to the public. I created mailboxes, converted them to the type shared, granted the users full rights to this boxes and now we are using the calenders of these mailboxes. (not sure if this matter at all).
Now if you create a new meeting out of this shared calender (from within that calender - just click somewhere in it and start to add people), the organizator of that meeting will be the shared mailbox it self:
This means when people reply to your invitations, those get send to the (unheard) shared mailbox.
So since it's not possible to change the organizator for a meeting at all (once created!), is it possible through VBA or Exchange settings to have it so the organizator of a NEW created meeting is right away the one that is actually creating it?
I do know it is possible to have a meeting in a shared calender, where the organizator is NOT the shared calender self. You can verify this by creating a meeting in your own private calender, then use drag & drop to copy that meeting to the shared calender. You will end up having your (really) own meeting in a shared mailbox's calender, although not able to modify it anymore.
It's not possible to have the users create the meeting in their own calenders then copy them to the shared one - they need to be created right IN the shared calender for more then one reason.
Ideas?
