Hi

I use multiple catergories on each task to define importance / urgency /project etc.etc.

When I print a to do list for the day ( I know, uses trees, not the modern way, but that's the way I like it), I just want to print each task selected once. Whatever I do by way of filtering or selection , each task selected to be printed is printed once for each catergoy it is in. I want to filter the list by category and then print a a list that shows each selected task just once.

Any ideas please?

Thanks Michael

That works but I need to sort by category within date. Do not seem able to select category as a second option to sort on. either within the view properties or "on screen" via the column header. Any thoughts?

You can't sort on categories because its a multivalue string. You could use a custom field to grab the first category (or all of the categories) and convert them to a string that can sort, but you'd need to use VBA and run it before printing to update the tasks.
