I have what appears to be a fake reminder appearing, and I'm concerned it is a virus or scam software. The widgets in the reminder look different than other reminders that come up from my calendar. Attached are screen shots showing the difference. The task manager lists the process as outlook.exe, but I'm concerned it's a fake.

Malwarebytes and HitManPro find no problems.

Real reminder from my calendar and Fake reminder not found in my calendar (MONEY GRAM AGENT) have different look to calendar icon, and top left area of window. Here they are side by side:

I found the event somehow was inserted into my hotmail account's calendar. How do spammers get access to one's hotmail calendar???

Thank you, Diane.
The concern is the event was inserted into my Outlook calendar, without my knowledge.

Yeah, it's just spammers finding another way to get your attention. When you see unwanted meeting requests, make sure you delete the event from the inbox and from the calendar - using conversation view helps.
