I have scored the internet for a solution to connecting my outlook.com alias email to outlook 2016, there is nothing current that I can find.
I have outlook 2016 and a comcast.net email address. The outlook.com has the comcast.net email set up as an alias. I am using windows 10.
This was set up this way.
1. pop account to get my email from comcast
2. Active Sync through outlook.com to sync my calender and contacts. (Only way I could get these to sync on my iphone and get email in a timely manner. The syncing with iphone stopped working .
Today, I had to reboot and I lost all my appointments and contacts in outlook 2016. I do have the .ost file.
Based on all the information I have read, I deleted my active sync account thinking I was going to be able to set up the exchange server account. When I attempt that, it sets up an IMAP account.
What I need is for someone to point me somewhere to get exact up-to-date instructions on resolving this issue.
Thank you in advance,
John
