In an effort to access all email accounts via all devices (W10 PC + Laptop plus Android phone + tablet), I changed all from POP3 to IMAP. Now it seems all my contacts are gone! Disastrous for my small 15 year old business. Where have I gone wrong? TIA, Eileen

Did you delete the imap account? Do you have a backup of the imap data file? In Outlook 2013/2016, you can set an imap data file as default - it no longer requires a pst as older versions did. Unfortunately, this creates 'this computer only' folders for calendar, contacts, tasks, notes - and if you don't export them regularly, you lose them when you remove the account or if something happens the the data file and outlook rebuilds it.

Thank you kindly for response Diane. I am not sure if I understand correctly - "did you delete the imap account?"
I had my email accounts setup as pop and I deleted these pop accounts in order to add them back as imap.
