Another reinstall of Outlook 2010 issue

Since reinstalling a new SSD hard drive and the full version of Windows 10 I had to reinstall Office 2010. I am having an issue in Outlook where when I search a folder it goes on and on and never produces any results. There is something wrong, in the past when I had to reinstall Outlook 2010 I would save the latest .pst create a new account then copy over the new .pst with my saved .pst. This time I chose my .pst when setting up Outlook and now for the first time my searches do not work. I'm not sure if it is Outlook or somehow related to my new install of Windows 10 but I would appreciate any help in correcting this issue.

yes, my updates are up to date, I tried to go into the search options and rebuild the indexing but nothing seems to fix it. when I search for an email I can clearly see in a folder I get the red wavy line but it doesn't seem to index no matter how long I let it go. ???

I'm getting conflicting info, when I look at search options it says "2148 items indexed " but when I search a folder I get the red wavy line and when I click on the details link it says there are 263 left to index but it never finishes ??

After my 2nd attempt at rebuilding the index my search now work.

Yeah, after the bad updates are fixed, you almost always need to re-index.

There are issues with search in window 10. Are all windows updates installed?
Hello Diane,
Ii am a brand new member and cant find a box where I can ask you about my WIN10 pro, 64 bit, outlook 2010 and error message 'this operation has been cancelled' etc.
This happened after I uninstalled Firefox after a suspect message purporting to come from microsoft requesting details.
Please direct me as to how to provide you all the details.

Very ridiculous to appearing such kind technical error again and again over a period of time firefox critical error occurred I suffered a lot finally, I got the solution through the mentioned link, by the way, if it is not founded then I have to suffer continuously on this topic, the developer needs to improve a lot, if they want satisfied user they have to provide good browsing quality and experience.
