Email account works on thunderbird not Outlook

I am helping my sister who hooks up to her website to get Imap mail

The connection works on Thunderbird but not on outlook
I can connect to a reseller hosted domain IMAP account using Thunderbird but NOT with Outlook and my older sister wants to use Outlook.

Using Windows 10 and Outlook 365

I have tried turning off the Router/Windows firewalls

Thunderbird Setup

Nothing seems to work now.
How do I remove all the existing outlook files (pst??)as they seem corrupted

Close Outlook
Locate the pst files - usually in Documents\Outlook Files unless you created them in an older version of Outlook - then they might be in %localappdata%\microsoft\outlook.
Rename the pst files - you can add 'old' the the end of the file name.
Restart Outlook or make a new profile.

I have fixed the PST issue.
I can now connect to her email using Outlook and it was 993 thank-you
BUT my sister when I test it her login works but the test message is not sent.
Both my sister and I have windows 10/64 bit running office 365 Outlook.
I have got her doing a full repair on Office.

BUT my sister when I test it her login works but the test message is not sent.
In the Account settings, double click on the account to open it, click More Settings. On the Outgoing tab, set it to use the same login as the incoming server. On advanced tab, you might need to use port 465 /SSl or 587/TLS.

Hi Diane,
You were right, Even though I had opened up the ports and marked outlook as safe, the AVG firewall was still not working. I de-installed firewall and it worked.!
