In outlook 365 POP mail Inbox, email takes a long time or never arrives.
In outlook 365 POP mail Inbox, email takes a long time or never arrives.
Email I send to myself doesn’t show in the Inbox for days.
Then I open email, click send/receive for new emails or missing mail.
Then I go to the Search line and enter "*" or a “subject ‘word’ “ from a “not yet received” email subject.
Finally! All the missing email from myself and also other emails rapidly appear in the Inbox.
What caused the blockage and release?

Try to Turn on SMTP Authentication
If your email service requires authentication and your settings are not correct, you will not receive emails. Go to the Tools menu and click Accounts. Select the email account in the left pane of the Accounts box. Choose the authentication type on the pop-up menu that appears.
