Forward incoming email with 4 embedded images in the body without original sender

This code works here.... not a good video but it shows the flashing that can't be avoided using word object model to copy. ETA: this is a slightly better video - I'm closing the incoming message right after the copy. And I'm showing the sent copy. https://www.screencast.com/t/xxR2ec0HbO9 It...

Forward incoming email with 4 embedded images in the body without original sender

BTW - a quick fix might be to add item.display before the inspector - it will flash on the screen and be annoying... If Not Item Is Nothing Then If Item.Class = olMail Then item.display <code to copy> item.close <== can be early or after the message is sent End If End If End...

Forward incoming email with 4 embedded images in the body without original sender

if you expect the messages that match the rule come in at 2PM, yeah, pause and see what happens. Comment out .send so you can see if it screws up before it sends. If it uses the last copied item, the problem is the copy code.

Forward incoming email with 4 embedded images in the body without original sender

Best guess: it failed on the copy and pasted the last thing copied to the clipboard. If you copied at the same time as the macro, it would pick up what was copied last. If you had a message open and was actively working in it, it could pick that up. I usually run the macro manually to copy...

in re-reading this - if you meant, how do you merge your script and mine - you don't. Mine replaces yours.

Forward incoming email with 4 embedded images in the body without original sender

This part is a separate macro, used to run the script on the selected message, so you don't need to send messages to test the rule. Sub TestForwardMacro() Dim objApp As Outlook.Application Dim objItem As Object ' MailItem Set objApp = Application Set objItem =...

Forward incoming email with 4 embedded images in the body without original sender

It doesn't show you which line was the problem? It works here when I select a message and run it (using the stub macro at the end). I didn't try it with a rule.

Oh sorry, I forgot to mention that you needed to reference the library. Did it do what you needed it to do? Including images can be tough because they are attachments embedded in the HTML and just copying the body may not include them. If it doesn't work, removing the header block would be...

Forward incoming email with 4 embedded images in the body without original sender

Try using the word object model to copy and paste... not sure it will be any better though. The macro at the bottom is for testing - select a message then run the macro - it beats sending test messages or running rules. Sub SendTransfer(Item As Outlook.MailItem) Dim objMsg As MailItem '...

    Outlook 2003 and Windows 11

I don't think you can find Office 2016 from a legitimate reseller- and it will soon be out of support. I recommend getting the newest version (Office 2021) so you have the longest period of support. If you have more than one computer, consider a subscription - it is good for multiple computers...

    File Picker for attachment

Is it picking a file by name or do you want to open a specific folderr and browser for the file? For the first, you use attachment.add: Set oMail = objApp.ActiveInspector.CurrentItem With oMail .To = oContact.Email1Address .Subject = Left(oDoc.Name, Len(oDoc.Name) - 5) 'The...

    Outlook 2003 and Windows 11

I have not, but it should work as well as it does now. FWIW, with many mail servers changing their security settings, you might need to give it up.

Macro to Filter Based on Latest Email

My method requires a run a script rule. Or a macro you run manually. It could set a category and could move message not meeting the condition to another folder.

Macro to Filter Based on Latest Email

It sounds like they need to use the @mention feature - you can filter for @mentions. I don't know if there is a good way to filter for your name in the message body (besides @mentions) - while a macro could look in the new message part for your name, does it look for the full name, your email...

    Create Meeting With Custom Form

The form is possible, but not the right click part - well, you could right click, but would need to set the form as default or use VBA to change which form opens. If its going to be a form you use only for meetings or only for specific meetings, you can select the time period and click a macro...

How to import many msg into different public folders in Outlook

two issues - this is the current folder open in outlook - so it will work to do one folder at a time - select the folder in outlook, make sure the macro uses the right folder in the folder system (SourceFolderName = "C:\TestMsg\A") and run it. rinse, repeat on each folder. Slow, but it works...
