Outlook tasks keeps changing (updating) dates that I type

Thanks for the reply. Good question. I did 1 of two things. Sometimes I use Alt+Shift+D because I noticed that inserts the date. Other times I just type the date, like 11/20/21, & copy the Outlook.pst back & forth between my Outlook 2003 on WinXP & Outlook 2016 on Win10. If the problem is...

Prevent Outlook 2016 from using DASL filter

Strange. I couldn't find an option to edit. (Now I see it. I must have waited too long before.) Yes, it sets it back to Customize... >Filter > Advanced > All tasks > Due Date > Today . I was just hoping for an easier way because sometimes copying from 2016 to 2003 doesn't change the...

Prevent Outlook 2016 from using DASL filter

I suppose if I had the code that would always use today's tasks in the TaskPad, that would work too. P.S. Is there a way to edit a post after it's posted?

I have Outlook 2016 on Win10 & Outlook 2003 on WinXP. I copy Outlook.pst back & forth. Usually there's no problem. In Calendar view on WinXP, I have TaskPad set to show tasks that have the due date today. I also have, I think it's called To Do list or Peek, shown in Calendar view in Outlook...

Short Date Format when typing in a task

Hi Diane: When I type Is there a way to change the autocorrect option in Outlook 2016? Outlook 2016. When I type e.g. 6/12, Outlook offers to make the date 6/12/2021. Is there a way to change the option to offer 6/12/21, i.e. the short date form? While I'm at it, is there a way to insert the...

Task display now leaves little room for notes

Thanks, Diane. I've turned off updates, but I'll keep checking this forum to see how the updates change things. Perhaps this should be put in the "Forum Notes, New Features, & FAQ" or "Forum Updates".

Task display now leaves little room for notes

Thank you, Diane! I disabled updates & and ran your code. It took care of the problem. I'm a little concerned that I might need a security update in the future. However, if I do decide to try a future update, will I always be able to go back to this one by running your code in an...

Thanks again, Diane. No, I don't have a vertical toolbar. It seems that the subject line is extremely large when I click on a task.

Task display now leaves little room for notes

Thank you, Diane. I saw that, but it I like to see those commands on the ribbon. Somehow, the ribbon got larger (or so it seems) & I also seem to recall that the categories changed shape. Did something change or update recently?

Task display now leaves little room for notes

When I click on a task all of a sudden, the upper half of my display is so large that I have to scroll to see the notes that I've put in. I don't know what happened, but the top half is too large. How can I change this? Thanks in advance.

    Syncing Outlook & iPhone Calendars

Hi John: Thank you for your reply & advice. I found that using iCloud didn't do what I wanted. My situation is a little more complicated. I have Outlook on two machines: WinXP & Win10. Quite honestly, I prefer the Outlook 2003 that I have on WinXP. I copy the Outlook.pst files back & forth...

    Syncing Outlook & iPhone Calendars

Thank you for your reply. I'm still somewhat confused. I have a Microsoft account, but don't have an Outlook.com account. When I went to Outlook.com (Outlook – free personal email and calendar from Microsoft), it asks if I want to create an account. 1. Is this what I have to do first? 2. If...

Changing the font that the task view shows

Using Outlook 2016, I tried to change the default font that shows up when you view tasks in one of the views. When I choose "Customize current view", I can only find a way to change the font for column & row headings, not the actual entries. This is what I mean: I would like to change the font...
