Same here -- can this be changed?

How to delete email addresses from auto-complete list?

Search the Help function for "autocomplete" where you will find: To delete them as they come up in the To box, type the first letter per usual, then use up/down arrow to highlight an address, press delete. OR, to delete all that are showing, just press delete repeatedly until they are gone...

Recommend add-on or utility enabling quick Google search within Outlook

Been meaning to get back to you, Diane -- you've got me very curious about trying Outlook 2013 but it seems the only way to get it is to download the entire Office suite trial? Is that true? I'm happy with my other Office apps so would just like to try the newest OL.

Keeping an Outlook window on top (2010)

FWIW, once you have "set" the side-by-side (or top-to-bottom) screen sizes, Windows will remember them, saving the tedium of resizing them each time.

Keeping an Outlook window on top (2010)

This may not be what you want, but I find it handy at times like those to re-size and arrange the windows I want to work with, so they are all viewable for copying (or even drag/drop) between them. This is where Windows got it's name, yes? FYI this works in Windows 7 and probably Win8; can...

Outlook 2007 message search results loses focus

Great tips, thanks again Diane. Sperry is to get back to me regarding their search/replace addon (seems it has no provision to operate on user-defined fields!) and likely I'll remove that. The focus thing is pretty minor in the grand scheme... I'm just glad Outlook works as well as it does...

Outlook 2007 message search results loses focus

Thx again, Diane -- I reset the view, not seeing the focus issue but will check it with a few more searches. Active addins are: avast (free antivirus) simuSearch32 (search web via additional ribbon tab) Sperry Software Helper OL Extension (trial for global seach/replace, seems buggy)...

Outlook 2007 message search results loses focus

Update: Guess it IS a bug -- happened again today, a bit different because the bottom-most item was already selected, but the focus (and view pane) were on the top-most item. Weird.

Outlook 2007 message search results loses focus

I do not use OL Today. The focus issue seems to be intermittent and I haven't seen this happen the last couple times I searched. MAYBE the indexing was not complete (don't recall seeing that message that appears at the bottom of the initial search results)... if that's all it was, now that...

In Contacts Phone List View, allow alpha jump w/single key, same as Card views

Re: In Contacts Phone List View, allow alpha jump w/single key, same as Card v OK if you mean toggle using the toolbar drop-down list for views, that effectively derails the alpha jump: toggling the in-cell ON view "refreshes" the list, losing your alpha jumped view. Found the form...

In Contacts Phone List View, allow alpha jump w/single key, same as Card views

Re: In Contacts Phone List View, allow alpha jump w/single key, same as Card v Thanks, Diane -- Disabling In-cell editing makes it work great. I often copy/paste within that view (cell editing) though, and would lose that function. A toolbar toggle would be cool (for cell edits)...

In Contacts Phone List View, allow alpha jump w/single key, same as Card views

One of my Contact folders is easiest to use in the Phone List view, sorted by Company Name. In the Phone List view, want to press an alpha key that makes the view jump to the names beginning with the letter of the key pressed. This is the standard behavior of all three of the standard Card...

Recommend add-on or utility enabling quick Google search within Outlook

Thanks Diane. I'm sticking with Windows 7, so Office 2007 is fine for my needs. This free add-in, simuSearch (for Office), does the job, though it balked in Outlook at first, generated an error message requiring a couple of reboots before it finally "took"... seems to be fine now. Ideal...

Recommend add-on or utility enabling quick Google search within Outlook

2013 has this...? Hmm, perhaps it is time to upgrade. ;) Meanwhile this free office add-on looks like it might serve well, although of course is for Office only, not for ANY app.

Recommend add-on or utility enabling quick Google search within Outlook

Title says it all: In Outlook (or any app for that matter) would like the ability to highlight text then right-click (or press a new toolbar button?) to search the web for the highlighted text preferably via Google. Nothing fancy, just a spiffy way to QUICKLY do web searches within Outlook and...

Outlook 2007 message search results loses focus

 Using Outlook 2007 fully patched/updated. When browsing message search results, with the Reading Pane on (at bottom), the program loses focus. This behavior is repeatable. The search has completed. Upon selecting a message in the search results [highlighting the selected...

OL 2007 problem - sudden large increase in message size

Thanks Diane. Given that the issue came & went quickly and hasn't returned, guess this will remain a mystery! Again, sure appreciate you having looked at this strange thing. And I have a new one (uh oh!)... about to post in new thread.

OL 2007 problem - sudden large increase in message size

I hear you, but as you saw in my 1mb sample, does all that excess coding look like corruption..? BTW the behavior has not returned, it was just over about a 2 day period. No, I haven't done anything re the autocomplete...
