Anyone tell me where custom view settings are stored?

Doh - ignore previous post, when I went to start rebuilding them they were already there, never doubted it for a minute! Would appreciate the notes on mfcmapi for future use though.

Anyone tell me where custom view settings are stored?

No, the custom views haven't synched, despite the install now being fixed and everything else working fine. I didn't use the cleanviews switch. I'm about to reconstruct manually. Never did answer your question about the Outlook version, it's 2104 Build 13929.20372 Click-to-Run.

Anyone tell me where custom view settings are stored?

Thanks for reply Diane, but I've spent considerable time on the phone to MS support today as things took a turn for the worse and my calendar view decided to lose half the ribbon, particularly the Change View and View Settings options! As a result I have had to do a full repair install of...

    It didn't make any difference!

Anyone tell me where custom view settings are stored?

This is getting stranger, now when I click on the calendar for that account, most of the ribbon options disappear and all I see under view options is as per the screen print i.e. no 'change view' or 'view settings options' . I will delete and re-add the account into the profile to see if it...

Anyone tell me where custom view settings are stored?

Thanks Diane, I have an Office 365 Exchange account i.e. an ost file. The views didn't sync, and even more annoyingly, having realised they were not that difficult to reconstruct, I recreated one yesterday, and checked that it was working and visible in the 'Manage Views' dialogue. This morning...

Anyone tell me where custom view settings are stored?

I had an issue recently which necessitated creating a new profile and adding my existing mail accounts into it (old profile deleted). Custom forms were gone but I knew how to resurrect them, not so with custom views - they are also gone but I've no idea if they are stored somewhere or whether I...

    Renaming Address Book

OK so in the absence of any real answer to this I found a workound - place a 'dummy' contact in each of the three 'Contacts' folders say Mr A1, Mr A2 and Mr A3. Then select the folders in the BT app in turn and see which 'contact' appears. Now why didn't I think of that before now!

Sending email from Office 365 alias in Outlook

Thanks or that Diane, understood and will try out both.

Sending email from Office 365 alias in Outlook

Sanjeev, thank you for your interest, but you have misunderstood the question. Creating an alias is not the problem. The alias has already been created within my Microsoft 365 for Business tenant, however that alias does not appear as an option when clicking the 'from' button in the Outlook...

Sending email from Office 365 alias in Outlook

My 'Microsoft 365 for Business' account contains two domains. A user has a primary email address and an alias to reflect the second domain. In the desktop Outlook app mail is received from both domains into the primary domains inbox (but can be identified by the 'To' address) However it appears...

New Location for the Search Bar

Doesn't your opinion of the new Search Box position depend greatly on your settings for thee Quick Access Toolbar? When you have the QAT positioned below the Ribbon, then the Search Box is outside the work area in the Title Bar, and its alignment, to the left edge of the message list area does...

Is a sub folder under contacts necessary to be able to name an Address Book?

Posted this some time ago but received no responses:- I have two accounts in my Outlook profile, and both have a 'Contacts' folder. They are easily distinguishable in Outlook itself (desktop version) were the email address is appended to the folder name,, but when using an external app (Ring...

    Renaming Address Book

I have two accounts in my Outlook profile, and both have a 'Contacts' folder. They are easily distinguishable in Outlook itself (desktop version) which shows the account name, but when using external app (Ring Central to be exact) the name of the Address Book is used , which is 'Contacts'in...

Problem with custom form including _DocSiteControl1

Intending to edit a custom form, I inadvertently opened an existing record rather than the new item form (a few years since I developed the forms!). I have done so before on occasions and have simply been able to go into each field and blank out the unwanted data before publishing (without...

    Conditional formatting - font sizes

I have two exchange accounts setup in the OL2013 desktop client - they behave differently when defining custom views - one shows conditional font size options only as 'smaller, normal, big and bigger' whilst the other gives actual font size options i.e. 8,10,12,14 etc. Anyone explain what's...

    Conditional formatting - font sizes

Diane, the 'smaller, normal, big and bigger' always return 9pt.11pt 14pt and 16pt in the dialogue box regardless of the 'normal font size for the view, so as you say probably hard coded - but there does seem to be something else going on since when the view font is set to 11pt and the conditional...

    Conditional formatting - font sizes

This seems like a really basic issue so it's probably been answered many times - apologies in advance. When changing the font in a message list view to 8pt Arial in OL2013 the choices for the conditional formatting of unread messages are: smaller, normal, big and bigger. If I select 'normal' I...
