    Macro to count flagged messages?

Thanks Diane. I've actually tried this macro which seems to work ok except that it shows 0 for the flagged message count so I must have made some mistake in the coding. Any ideas please? Thanks. Sub How_Many_Flagged_Messages() Dim objOutlook As Object Dim objnSpace As Object Dim objFolder As...

    Macro to count flagged messages?

I would like to be able to count flagged messages in my Inbox. Does anyone know a macro that will do this please? Or perhaps another method of achieving the same result...? Thanks.

How to add 'Previous Item' and 'Next Item' to the Quick Access Toolbar

I've found a solution to my problem. Still can't find the appropriate QAT commands - even though I suspect they must be hidden in the huge list somewhere (perhaps under other names?). However, I hadn't realised that up arrow and down arrow do exactly what I want. So using the SendKeys {UP} and...

Can one change the formatting of email title blocks?

On the Outlook 2021 Home screen, I would to change the formatting of the title blocks (if that's the correct term) so as to make unread emails easier to spot. At present they just have a blue line on the left hand side and the title is in a bold blue font. I would like to give the whole block...

How to add 'Previous Item' and 'Next Item' to the Quick Access Toolbar

Using Outlook 2021, I would like to add 'Previous Item' and 'Next Item' to the Quick Access Toolbar (or even, at worst, the Simplified Ribbon) on the main Outlook Home screen - to enable one to quickly move up or down a list of emails. I have searched all the QAT commands but can't find these...

    Folder Pane Colour Categories

Thanks for your post but I fear colourful PowerPoint Templates, no matter how good they are, will not help to solve this issue with the appearance of Outlook 2021.

    Folder Pane Colour Categories

Thanks for trying anyway. What a shame it doesn't exist any longer.

    Folder Pane Colour Categories

Hi Diane Don't suppose you ever found that addin by any chance? I've just started using Outlook 2021 and am finding it dreadfully pale and grey. Obviously I can use conditional formatting to brighten up and clarify the email headers but, as Sid said, it would be great to be able to colour code...

    Outlook 2003 and Windows 11

Thanks. If a change becomes necessary, would your 'best value' upgrade recommendation then be Outlook 2016 32 bit?

    Outlook 2003 and Windows 11

I know there are a number of us still happily using Outlook 2003 on Windows 10. I just wondered if anyone had tried using it on Windows 11 yet and, if so, with what result?

Outlook Macro to show Flagged messages

Michael Many thanks for that. I couldn't find CurrentView or the help sample you referred to but, in the meantime, found this www.experts-exchange.com/questions/28648029/Outlook-Macro-to-Change-Views.html which does exactly what I wanted. (I see it includes CurrentView, so it must be there I...

Outlook Macro to show Flagged messages

Hi I wonder if anyone can help me with an Outlook macro please (I'm using Outlook 2003 by the way)? I have a view called Flagged Messages which is defined to filter my Inbox and show only the emails which have a coloured flag - so I can focus on working on these. It is somewhat cumbersome...

Outlook 2003 problem with Windows 10 Creators Update 1709

I still very happily use Outlook 2003 (32 bit) and it has been working well with Windows 10 (64 bit) pc until the recent Creators Update 1709. After this update, when I opened Outlook all appeared normal until I realised it was not 'sending and receiving'. When I tried to access the Email...

    Outlook 2003 editing problem

Thanks, Diane. Yes, no error messages. It seems to be mainly HTML emails I have trouble with. If I amend the subject line and then close the email, I'm prompted to save the changes (as usual). However, if I amend the text, the changes aren't saved. Plain text email editing works ok.

    Outlook 2003 editing problem

I have two computers with Outlook 2003. On the first - Windows XP - using 'Edit, Edit message' I can edit incoming mail to my heart's content. However, on the second - Windows 7 - whilst I can edit some emails this way, others I cannot or at least I can edit them but the changes aren't saved...

    Avast! Antispam toolbar

Diane Don't know what I'm doing wrong here but I bet it's something pretty simple! Since I couldn't get the debugger to like my single line of code, I tried calling the macro that works when I trigger it manually instead (see below). However, the debugger doesn't like that either! (When I...

    Avast! Antispam toolbar

Many thanks. Moved your code to the top of ThisOutlookSession and problem disappeared. However, when I open an email the debugger pops up highlighting my single line of code in the following sub – hope I put it in the right place? Sub YourProcedure(myMsg As Outlook.MailItem) ' this...

    Avast! Antispam toolbar

Diane Thank you so much for that – what a lot of code is needed for a simple operation! However, I must have done something wrong. I copied your code into ThisOutlookSession and then added my one line (from the macro) below ‘this is where you do the real work’. However, when I now open...
