Suppress dialog box on email check error?

Seven are with Cox. Why would I want to stagger the check times? That's never mattered in 20 years of multiple accounts with varied ISPs. It's not like my measly few connections overwhelm their servers. Confused.

Suppress dialog box on email check error?

Thanks. I have a dozen or so POP accounts. Disabling isn't an option, and lengthening the period would of course reduce the incidence, but doesn't really help--biggest problem is coming back to the machine and having the dialog up and no email, then having to wait for a few dozen messages to...

Suppress dialog box on email check error?

Our ISP (Cox) is having lots of POP and/or authentication server trouble lately, with concomitant failures checking mail. Looking at the errors (in Outlook logging or from another client) I see authentication timeouts, "Internal server error", etc. If I could just suppress the dialog box, I'd...

    Outlook 365 sending intermittently

Since we migrated to Outlook 365 (or 364.5, as we call it; I actually heard a Microsoftie talk at length about "Office 360", which made me laugh!), Outlook often decides it's not going to send mail. Not all the time, but sometimes. Incoming always works, even when it's not sending, and if I do...

Ability to define shortcuts to folders

Gah, the one time I *don't* do Preview, and it eats the less-than/greater-than signs. The shortcuts were cntrl-shift-p, cntrl-shift-o.

Ability to define shortcuts to folders

I have an Exchange mailbox and a ton o' POP accounts. 99% of the POP mail goes into one of three folders. I'd like to be able to go to those by shortcut -- <Cntrl><Shift>P or something *I* define. And I rarely go to the Outbox, so the fact that <Cntrl><Shift>O takes me there is a waste...

    Performance with Exchange

Indeed. Outlook 2007 still goes out to lunch frequently, even with SP3 (which made it *much* better). And it still crashes a couple of times a day for me, usually when I've taxed its wee brain by doing too many operations too close together. It sure would be nice to have some evidence...

    Spacebar when reading email

Well, yeah, of course those work. But the paradigm users are used to from the Web is <SPACE> to page down. And no, I don't use the Reading pane. Never liked it for some reason!

    Spacebar when reading email

When reading email, the spacebar in Outlook versions prior to 2007 operated differently depending on how the email was formatted -- plaintext (no op), HTML (page down), or Rich Text (edited the note). Now it's at least consistent -- it does nothing. I'd like to be able to page...
