Over the last couple of days I have been facing major issues with calendar apps on my smartphone. They used to work fine, but early this week, for one reason or the other, all data has gone. Since then I have been trying to figure out what it might have been, seeking solutions on Internet...
Thanks for your reply.
My smartphone is using Android v12 (Samsung Galaxy S10)
It is a little bit complex and what I am trying to accomplish is, more or less, a test...
It is like this:
1. my smartphone has a calendar app
2. I record events in Outlook (desktop) - that is the 'base' so to say...
On Android I am trying to add an account on Exchange basis, for this I am required to enter server, domain and user name (apart from email/password and description).
Am using Office 365 and Outlook on exchange basis on my desktop PC.
Setting up an account on desktop is easy, if I remember...
Sometimes, whilst drafting a reply, I see the previous mails with extra empty lines added.
Within a 'simple' text editor this would easily be solved by using a regex.
(Note: in most cases there are leading spaces before the CRLF, reason why the \s+? is added...
Just as a short 'follow up' and FWIW: I have been using this macro for almost a year now. Before sending the mail: select text that needs to be corrected - run macro. Where necessary this also works on previously sent parts. In my opinion, the macro is really the best and easiest solution so far.
Outlook (Office 365) with two Outlook accounts, both based on Exchange, within the same applicaton.
One is default.
I would like to mirror (one way!) from my default account to this second one. Do not want old entries from this second one arriving in my default account.
The default account...
On her laptop (Microsoft Surface Pro) the font whilst composing a mail is soo small, my wife is complaining. Her eyesight is not 100% (anymore).
Thru "Format Text"> "Zoom" I set it to 130% which is fine.
This made me 'investigate' how to slightly increase the default view, i.e. the email...
with "Turn on shared calendar improvements' turned ON
Discovered an easy way to solve the above and applied this a few times already, with success.
1. Calendar > View > Change View > Select: Calendar (if not already selected)
2. R-click on the appointment and drag COPY it to, for...
Don't spend too much time on it Diane. Reason is that the macro works fine on selected text, as per above example.
However, a "ctrl-a" and run the macro will remove the message separator (graphic line), which, I assume, is not ideal.
IF..IF.. at all it would be possible to run this macro when...
Spent quite some time on searching for an Outlook add-in that automatically replaced hard returns with soft ones.
AFAIK there are none, which is astonishing considering this problem probably exists already since Outlook was introduced.
There are some 3rd party workarounds, like...
I am seeing this when I hit reply. The sender included a screenshot in the message.
When I hit reply the screenshot is gone. Most probably the recipient sees the same then.
Okay, when this is more or less normal, then I'll let it rest.
Personally, when I send an email with a...
I know, this has been asked a trillion times.
With me the image IS displayed alright, but when replying it is then removed.

Always wondered, but never dared to ask: I believe(!) that to some extend it may be possible to embed fonts into Word or Powerpoint.
Not sure though if at all it is possible to do so in Outlook.
For example, if I were to send birthday wishes in some fancy (non-standard) font, likely this font...
Had this problem again. Checking and unchecking and checking and unchecking "Turn on shared calendar improvements" - relaunching Outlook in between each time. No solution. Did a 'Repair' Office. No solution. This was driving me crazy.
Ultimately, I turned off again the option "Turn on shared...
Not sure it will work for post title "How to find and replace a word in Outlook-Agenda-Subject and Message?"
There is no 'Delete' option there, there is one below my post above.
May be you could delete it?
Thanks a lot. I guess post -with- an a reply should not be deleted: the reply given my include a solution that may be of help for other users.
Those without a reply though, it makes sense that the user should be able to delete them.
Either he/she found solved the matter after posting, or there...
If, for a longer period of time, there are no replies on a forum thread, or, the solution has been found already, the post is of no use and should be deleted.
AFAIK users can not delete their post themselves. How to proceed then?
Outlook 365 - Calendar/Agenda
In multiple entries a word in the title (Field: Subject) and in the description (Field: Message) should be replaced.
I do not want the entire title / description to be replaced, just a specific word.
The word in the title (subject) also shows up in the description...
Have been struggling with this a long time. Calendar view, select an event. Now the exact same info should be copied, say, to the same date but a year later, or earlier.
Currently I do not know of any alternative but to
copy the event to a date a few weeks later
then move that one again a few...
