On Windows7-64, the Apple Software Updater just notified me of iCloud Control Panel v3.0 being released. I said remind me later since I'm doing Outlook2007 iCloud Sync (until I backup my PST, etc.).
Anyone tried it yet?
In my mind, the best protection is to close Outlook and backup .PST file.
As for iCloud Control Panel 2.x ...
I've tested un-checking Outlook in iCCP, (and selecting "keep copy") and it does seem to put items back to default location (see my other post/blog-entry about it). However, I...
Re: looking to bring in all my folders from Outlook Express (XP) to Outlook 20
On the old computer (with Outlook Express) install Outlook 2003. Let it create a new .PST file in "Microsoft Office Outlook 2003-2007 Personal Folders - UniCode Format" format (if asked to choose).
Inside...
So, I got mine working and syncing fine:
Windows 7-64 , iTunes 11.x, iCloud Control Panel v2.1.2
Outlook 2007
iPhone-5
iPad2 - iOS v6.1.3
Now, I want to get my wife's set of machines working:
Windows 7-64 (a different machine) , iTunes 11.x
Outlook 2007
iPhone-3gs - iOS...
Yes, that's what makes it peer-to-peer. HP JetDirect box should support most/all function or always at least printing (see link).
Yes, if it's not a "real printer or host-mode printer" ... it might use computers processing power to print ... making it trouble-some for anti-virus, network...
I don't think it's an Outlook problem. You will likely get further in HP Forums.
Peer-To-Peer printing is always hard to get working. Didn't know people actually try to do it any more. Be sure both printers have different names if using Windows networking. Double check drivers. Turn off ALL...
RE: CodeTwo iCloud Sync Addin
That's acceptable.
RE: Determining iCloud version
Thanks, that's what I needed to know. The current iCCP (as of 7-31-2013) is marked inside as v2.1.2 like you said. When you install it, it mentions being v2.1.2.8.
I understand your point, but since my Outlook install is a local single-user install, I should have a local backup of the data files. Mail stores are not a problem since they are local. My Contacts and Tasks (some used as Notes) are very important to me.
Maybe that's another advantage of...
What would be the best automated solution to capture a daily backup of my Outlook data? Not just for major-failure-restores, but also in case of minor corruptions or unintended manipulations.
Seem like Outlook would have to be shut-down (so PST files are "closed"). Not sure if iCloud keeps...
Thanks for the confirmation about iCloud Data file.
So, what exactly determines the iCloud version?
I don't use Calendar and Appointments much now, but I would like to start using them more now (since I will eventually have them on my new iPhone). As I've been reading about iCloud/Outlook...
Thanks for the vote of confidence in this one and the heads-up on their new Addin under development.
So, the developers are reachable, just not for minor support problems?
I just saw this Poll. If I finally upgrade to Outlook 2010, any chance some of these quirks will go away on their own...
Anyone using this ? http://www.codetwo.com/sync-for-icloud/
Not that I'm excited about yet another Addin manipulating my PST files and folders, but it looks like this Addin might be a work-around to correct some of the draw-backs of using iCloud with Outlook.
It seems that some Outlook...
If you want to use iCloud, you will have to upgrade Outlook to 2007 or higher.
If you want to use iTunes-sync instead, I think you have to uninstall iCloud Control Panel (and give up all iCloud abilities like PhotoStream). I suggest you backup your Outlook .PST file also if you haven't...
If you already have one, you can config it as a Data File and point to it.
If you don't have one to restore, and new one will be created. I thought a wizard ran on a fresh install (with no accounts setup yet) that walked you though all that.
I thought "Pro Plus" described the Office Suite itself. Usually means it has Access and other major apps included in suite. As far as I know, there is only one version of Outlook 2010.
As for your other question ... for various reasons, it's usually better if all your Microsoft Office...
Re: Setting up windows 7 & outlook 2007 w/ Iphone 4 & synch contacts & calenda
Not sure if you figured it out already, but we are doing basically the same thing. I'm no expert, but I'll explain how I'm doing it so far.
First, understand the iTunes WiFi Sync is separate from iCloud. For...
Re: Outlook 2007/2010 - First time iCloud setup/config for heavy Outlook user
RE: Email … Thanks for the clarification. I now see that iCloud Mail switch on iPad itself does something else. Good to hear I’m on the right path. Still not sure why it iCCP says "Mail" when email isn't synced...
