Folders always closed in move/copy items dialog box

No, not that i know of. Mine have the default data file open to the first level (subfolders not expanded) and other data files closed. it looks like expanding a folder for one move command keeps it expanded for additional moves during that session. (I have a bazillion data files - i prefer...

    Outlook email window maximizes improperly

Sorry I missed this earlier. I see all kinds of weirdness with the taskbar on top but i'm not moving it. :) On my laptop, the items open about 1/3 from the top (not just 1 title bar lower). On my desktop half the time the title bar is under the taskbar (highly annoying with the reminder...

Here are two articles on my site - How to use an ItemAdd Macro This touches on newmailex and has a link to a sample on outlookcode.com Processing Incoming E-mails with Macros

    Parsing All Emails

This is kind of what you need to be doing: Private Sub Application_Startup() Dim objMyInbox As Outlook.MAPIFolder Set objNS = Application.GetNamespace("MAPI") Set objMyInbox = objNS.GetDefaultFolder(olFolderInbox) Set objNewMailItems = objMyInbox.Items Set objMyInbox = Nothing End Sub Private...

Outlook 2013 Extract Flag Completed dates to Excel Macro

It doesn't look like i ever wrote an article on this specific macro / idea - but i have a sample at Macro to Export Outlook Fields to Excel - it gets some fields but not the flag complete time.

    Parsing All Emails

That is definitely slow enough for itemadd, but if newmail is working, no need to break what isn't broke. :) But, even with low volume, there can be benefit to handing the message off to a separate macro to process. If you are looking at multiple conditions and actions, the newmail macro can...

How to set up button in ribbon for individual Quick Steps

Individual quick steps can't be added to a button. You can use a macro to replicate the quick step and put that on a button.

    Parsing All Emails

For each will run through all messages in the folder. Not a problem if you move the messages out after processing (you'll only have new messages in the inbox), but is a problem if you have 100's of messages. You want to use newmail or item add to process the current message. Hand it off to...

Move Outlook 2007 to new PC with Outlook 365

I have instructions here - Moving Outlook to a new Windows computer - even though it was written for different versions, it still applies.

Move Outlook 2007 to new PC with Outlook 365

All you need to do is copy the POP3 pst to the new computer - it might be in %localappdata%\microsoft\outlook - on the new computer, put it in Documents\Outlook Files - unless you are syncing documents with one drive, then put the folder somewhere else. You can set it as the default data file...

Tasks - Is there a postponed date column?

I added the code to create the fields, but it crashes outlook 2016. :(

Tasks - Is there a postponed date column?

The reminders are stored in the reminders collection which makes it harder to get the value. I'll take a look at adding the field - there are ways to run it automatically.

"Can't store Outlook data files under the AppData folder. Please choose another folder."

With the exception of the ones i lost (because of network issues) that were so corrupted they could not be recovered, i haven't had a lot of problems (besides needing scanpst more often) - the bigger problem is that it works until it doesn't and if you don't have backups you are SOL.

"Can't store Outlook data files under the AppData folder. Please choose another folder."

The block is new in this version. As for it not causing corruption, you were lucky and outlook was able to repair the corruption as it happened. The big risk is if the connection is dropped while it is open or the write-back speed to slow. I lost more than one. If you dont need them often, i'd...

"Can't store Outlook data files under the AppData folder. Please choose another folder."

Because accessing pst files from a network or external drive is not supported and can result in corruption, they are now blocking access to pst not on the local drive.

Adding Enterprise Exchange Email Account to Outlook Prevents Sending via Outlook.com Account

If i read the uservoice correctly, its asking for this: The entire middle section is outlook.com aliases or connected accounts. (EASI is non-microsoft account added as an alias) - the outlookmvps.com address is an outlook.com custom domain - gmail and another account are connected accounts...

Adding Enterprise Exchange Email Account to Outlook Prevents Sending via Outlook.com Account

What are your address book settings? Specifically, is the exchange gal set as the default? I wonder if it makes a difference if the default is not in the Exchange account. Ctrl+Shift+B to open the address book, then Tools, options to check. (The link to the uservoice is not working - it...

Restore an individual all-day recurring event

No, you can't restore a recurrence you deleted. Did you try right-click and drag, choosing Copy? This will create a single event that is not linked to the recurring item.

Tasks - Is there a postponed date column?

This should work to display a message box, but my outlook 2016 (exchange account) is crashing on it (and on a lot of other things) - it works in 2007 (in a pst), so i know the code is good. It displays a message box - you could have it write to a custom field, but would need to run it to...

Tasks - Is there a postponed date column?

You can make a list of snoozed reminders but to add it to the task list, you'd need to do a lookup to find the correct item and create custom fields for the response. Sub FindSnoozedReminders() Dim objReminder As Outlook.Reminder Dim objReminders As Outlook.Reminders Dim strList As...
