Outlook 2k3 with Exchange: Browsing Sent items without downloading?

Yes, but shouldn't the preview pane give me something similar to what I see in the inbox, ie the message stub, then a button to downlaod the remainder if I want to?

Outlook 2k3 with Exchange: Browsing Sent items without downloading?

I have around half a dozen devices which I sync mail with by using MS Exchange (2003 I think). Most of my clients are OL2010, but I just set up another client this morning on OL2k3 which has a low bandwidth connection. As such I don't want to download full messages, but only headers...

    Categorising Emails Automatically.

I've recently realised I need to "manage" my mail in a smarter way than I was doing recently where I was archiving mail by "month received" rather than anything more clever. I tried making a folder for each "topic" instead of my month, but then I couldn't find the best place to store emails...

right click outlook objects in OL2010 acts on current inbox mailitem

I guess this answers my question, though refers to 2007. I assume it still applies to 2010. [URL="http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en/vsto/thread/0954e4f3-e039-429b-b1b9-253dee7baa60"]

OL2010 - signatures while forwarding tasks or appointments

My signature is automatically inserted when forwarding or replying to emails, but not when forwarding tasks or appointments. Is there any way to enable auto-insertion of my signature when forwarding these items? thanks Guy

right click outlook objects in OL2010 acts on current inbox mailitem

So I guess what I cut and pasted from the internet (and then fidled about a bit with) is called the "view control", and each object I have on my today page is an instance of a view control. I'm not sure if it tells me specifically why the above is happening, but as the viewctrl has an...

right click outlook objects in OL2010 acts on current inbox mailitem

you can probably get the calendar object code from my other post, but I can forward the full code with inbox, links and tasks objects to you tomorrow when I get back to work. Your assistance is very much appreciated Diane

right click outlook objects in OL2010 acts on current inbox mailitem

Cryptic title, I know. sorry about that. See below my outlook today page, which I use as a dashboard for outlook 2010. As you can see, at the top of the page I have my inbox, with some href links in table cells to the right. The next row holds my personal tasks...

Initial "Connecting" to public folders on startup

That is much appreciated. Obvious, now that you've mentioned it. I feel like a right plonker! Guy

Initial "Connecting" to public folders on startup

Okay, found the application_startup procedure call (I was stupidly looking in a module). Just need a way to programatically return to today page from VBA now.

Initial "Connecting" to public folders on startup

Still need to automate something on startup to connect to the folders though, rather than manually visiting each one before it will appear on my today page.

Initial "Connecting" to public folders on startup

My mistake... Navigating to them through the hierarchy does actually "register" them as well and they are subsequently displayed on my today page when I return. That said, clicking on them in my "favorites" does not. Entering the full folder path in the address bar also works...

Initial "Connecting" to public folders on startup

yes. When I say "visiting them", I need to put "outlook://[EntryID}" into the address bar to view them manually - I don't think visiting them from the public favourites (or through the public hierarchy) does any good. So there are (only) three options that seem to work...

Initial "Connecting" to public folders on startup

Outlook 2003: I have a shared calendar and shared tasks lists on my Outlook Today page. This is done by customising the outlook today HTML with object code, picking up the public folders using their EntryID's. The problem is that when outlook starts, the folders show up as...

2003 >> 2010 outlook today security changes (Iframes? Href?)

I have a custom today page (local html file on C:/OL_Today folder) which is set out as a table with the inbox at the top and then the bottom two rows contain IFrames (which go to local HTML files in the same folder) containing calendar, tasks and several links. This works well on...

    CLSID for shared tasks folder

No, doesn't seem to work at all. I read up on it and some people say it has to have the format "\\servername/exchange/username" but that didn't work either - not sure if I'm supposed to still put "outlook:" in front of it, but made no difference either way - and that was just looking...

    CLSID for shared tasks folder

Outlook 2003. Not sure what exchange version - or how to check for that matter! Web toolbar just shows "outlook:Tasks\Testing Tasks", but I will try to put my email address in front of it.

    CLSID for shared tasks folder

Okay, replacing "Tasks" with "Tasks\Testing Tasks" DID work for me, but again, surely when I distribute this code to my colleagues, the "Tasks\Testing Tasks" will be looling in THEIR mailbox, not mine. The point is that this is a shared folder, and I need everyone to be able to access...

    CLSID for shared tasks folder

I'm using 2003, but will soon be migrating to 2010 (hopefully I can keep my today page). The shared folder is called "Testing Tasks", so do I just replace "Tasks" with "Testing Tasks"? That might work for me, but wouldn't other users need a more absolute reference / url? The...
