Junk Mail Options are set to default. I get the square, circle and triangle in a box instead of the HTML picture I'm expecting. I haven't had any red X's.
I have unticked all the boxes regarding picture placeholders in Word, Outlook main and message. I could and can still see hidden files & folders and C:\Users\Simon\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Temporary Internet Files but Content.Outlook doesn't exist in that folder or anywhere else.
I have tried all the usual suggestions, reset IE9, unticked all the right boxes in all the right places but still it won't show pictures only the placeholder triangle, square and circle. I have Office 2010 and Win 7 Ultimate, all fully up-to-date. I can't help feeling that there is a registry...
