Exchange 2007 backup on W2K8

Hi!
I know that ntbackup is not supported on W2K8 and that there is no native
way to backup an E2K7 database.
Last year, Microsoft annouced a VSS plug-in that could do the job. Is it at
last avalaible and where can I find it?
Otherwise, what are the nice backup software: Microsoft Data Protection
Manager? some 3rd party software? If yes, which one is fit?

Its not out and I don't think any of us know when it will be.
As for DPM, I have heard some good things, but I have always been a fan of
Backup Exec myself.

I believe DPM is an option.

Of course there is the 3rd party stuff as well...

Would BackupAssist work on SBS2008 for Exchange 2007? I have an SBS2008 box
and every day I get around 14 errors complaining that Exchange Mailstore was
not backed up through VSS because it was already in the process of being
backed up.

After countless hours messing with VSS/SBS2008 backup, I am ready to give up
and purchase a 3rd party solution. Good Idea or Bad Idea? Any suggestions?

this thread has passed for a long time, but I want to say something to update it, and i hope it can help the followers.
Now the Windows Server 2008 has a built-in Windows Server Backup tool which needs installing on the 2008 server, and this Windows Server Backup can backup and restore Exchange Server 2010/2007. Here is an article about how to backup Exchange Server 2010/2007 on Windows Server 2008. If you can't use Windows Server Backup for your Exchange Server 2007. I also like to recommend one third party exchange backup software for you: easus todo backup advanced server. I am working in a small company and we can afford it. It can satisfy our requests, such as schedule backup, incremental backup, email alert. In a word, this is a good tool for small and medium-sized businesses. Like symantec BE, acronis, they are a little expensive for us.
