First I'll say that based on what I've read so far, I feel like a user in a developer's world. That being said, as a user, my biggest frustration with Outlook is it's lack of portability.




I work from a desktop and occasionally have to travel to other offices to work. Have tried transporting Outlook by flash drive and wasn't successful. My mail folders are complex. My contacts are in multiple groups, tasks - the same. Keeping all Outlook data in a single folder (or file), is frustrating to me. I'd like to transport what I want to transport.

You're using a POP3 and a PST file? IMAP might be better if you do this often, although it has its limitations in Outlook - its great when you need to view mail on multiple computers but if you use flags and categories and search folders it may be too limiting.

Exchange server and cached mode or OWA was designed for this type of usage.
