Public folder and owner can't create subfolder

Public folders on a exchange 2003 with replica on 2007. User has owner

rights to a folder and cannot make a subdirectory with outlook 2003 or 2007

using outlook anywhere. Logging into OWA, can make the necessary changes.

This points back to a front end issue....but what?

I've seen similar wierdness with users who have a greater that 5 delegates

to a calendar. If you have your outlook client configured with outlook

anywhere it can take several seconds to build..the more delegates...the

longer. some people with 10 delegates are waiting minutes. Yet connecting

directly to the mailbox server, the user does not have the same issue. So an

outlook anywhere issue...

Anyone have any suggestions?

thanks in advance

You could rule out Outlook Anywhere by turning off cached mode and then

seeing if the operation can be performed.

I've confirmed the delegate issue is outlook anywhere, as the users have this

issue with or without cached mode. Public Folders...haven't been able to

confirm yet. Typically the mailbox server is blocked by firewall except for

the cas outlook anywhere access...so its hard to test.

Can the user do anything with public folders? Are the public folders on the

same server that hosts the mailbox?
