i'm using pop3 account and my outlook shows a personal folder .pst, do i still need to archive my emails as it will save on my computer than the serve

if i still need to archive even though i already have personal folder (.pst), when the computer prompt me, and i click yes to auto archive, but how do i open the archive file, i've no access to open the .pst file. how to change the access. thank you.

If Outlook 2007 created the personal folder (pst) for you, there is not a file size limitation. You can archive items if you want. When you set up autoarchive you can configure it to show the archive pst in the profile.

If you leave mail on the server and the mailbox gets full, you should get a warning from the mail server administrator.
