I've installed june 2010 Windows Live Essentials Beta. Unfortunately it seems to conflict with Outlook Connector 14 - now I can't neither use Outlook Connector nor re-add my Live/Hotmail account (which should be supported by Windows Live Outlook connector pack)

Any ideas? Will meanwhile uninstall Outlook Connector, Windows Live Beta and then re-install Windows Live Beta, keep your fingers crossed pls. Anyway it seems that the version of OL connector included in Windows Live Beta is the same as used before.

There're TWO Msncon32.dll libraries - one in "c:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\System\MSMAPI\MSNCON32.DLL" , another one in "c:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\System\MSMAPI\1033\MSNCON32.DLL". Same version, different sizes (2MB vs. 20 kB). Outlook tries to use "c:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\System\MSMAPI\MSNCON32.DLL" using SHORT FILENAME/PATH ("C:\PROGRA~2\COMMON~1\SYSTEM\MSMAPI\MSNCON32.DLL"). Now I can see Outlook Connector in OL2007 menu bar but "Add a new account" does nothing.

Hello, colleague,
in current "wlsetup-webc.exe" installer for Windows Live Essentials Beta there's feature called "Outlook Connector Pack"

which actually (according to appwiz.cpl) installs "Microsoft Outlook Hotmail Connector 32-bit" 14.0.4763.1000 and "Microsoft Outlook Social connector 32-bit", same version.

The addin keeps unchecking (sorry for Czech version) - ran Outlook as Administrator, Checked, open COM extensions again - unchecked:

Seems i caught a BUG. Outlook expects Hotmail Connector in "c:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\System\MSMAPI\1029" (where ther actually Fax Mail Transport driver resides). I temporarily put Hotmail Connector here (I don't use fax) and wait for bug to be fixed

....which would possibly be why I DON'T have the problem, I'm running Win 7 Ultimate 32 bit (no "Program Files (X86)" folder). I've got other problems with the Essentials beta; we run Sunbelt's VIPRE Enterprise AntiVirus and the Essentials install now prevents the Agent service from starting. I also note that I asked the installer for the Bing bar and didn't get it. I've since installed it manually.

I tried to sumbit this bug to http://windowslivehelp.com bot the web keeps throwing errors and timeouts like zillions of people are trying to get help :(

P.S. Win7 64 bit - same behavior. Also tried to install 12.1 version of OL connector - this one let me add account and looked like working but obviously did NOT let me connect to my accounts and suggested upgrade. After upgrade - result was the same as above. DLL H*LL.

P.P.S. Sorry for OT but I couldn't figure out how to purge deleted mail from IMAP folders in WLMail Beta. Am I dumb or blind or both?
