mail stuck in outbox

I use a laptop computer. It seems my outgoing mail server settings do not work in all locations. I use Verizon Fios in location 1. I use Verizon DSL in location 2. I use WiFi at public locations. In some locations the outgoing e-mail gets stuck in the outbox.

My software is Outlook 2007.

Please help me solve this problem. I look forward to an early resolution!

Does it only get stuck when you use wi-fi? Verizon is blocking the smtp server when outside the network. Check their support pages for the proper authentication method to use.

Check the authentication you are using in Tools, Account settings, double click on the account then More Settings. Look on the outgoing server and advanced tab.
