I recently bought a new laptop running Windows 7 with Microsoft Office 2010 installed. I am having a problem with replying and forwarding mail with Outlook 2010. Creating new mail and sending works fine. However, whenever I try “reply,” “reply all,” or “forward” the message created just sits in the Outbox after I send it. I get the following error message.

Task 'wmfoster@() - Sending' reported error (0x8004010F) : 'Outlook data file cannot be accessed.'

The problem does not seem to lie with my email server because I can perform those operations normally from webmail. The problem only happens in Outlook.

Try creating a new Outlook profile and check if it helps.

To create a new profile refer:www.support.microsoft.com/kb/829918
Once you create a new profile, set up the accounts again and see if you are able to reply to messages.

I did set up a new profile and, yes, I can now successfully reply or forward mail from that profile. However, the new profile does not contain my address book or personal folders. Is there a way to move those to the new profile?
