Hi,
So I am trying to install ex2010.
I ran the ServerManagerCmd -i RSAT-ADDS command on my DC, rebooted my DC, and verified all roles are installed, rebooted all servers, but I still get this error and cannot continue to install.
My forest a domain are on 2003 level, should I promote them to 2008?
Any thoughts.
Thanks much

Nirsky0140 Which error are you getting? Can you post it here?

- It can be installed with Windows 2003 Forest and Domain (both) functional level and doesn't require to promote domain functional level to Windows 2008.

- Make sure that prerequisites are getting fulfilled to install Exchange 2010 as per below article.

- Also you can refer below article to install Exchange 2010 step-by-step.

How can I load an image here?
You can see the image with the error on

http://www.experts-exchange.com/Software/Server_Software/Email_Servers/Exchange/Q_24364311.html
http://www.experts-exchange.com/Software/Server_Software/Email_Servers/Exchange/Q_24364311.html
But basically it tells me that The AD Schema is not up to date and the Ldifde.exe is not installed and that I have to run the
ServerManagerCmd -i RSAT-ADDS command.
I ran it and I receive a message that No changes where made because the rolls and features are already installed.
And I cannot continue.
I have installed all the prerequisite, like powershell, all the IIS ect ....
Where will the log file be?
Thanks

You have to run ServerManagerCmd -i RSAT-ADDS and other commands on your server where you are trying to install Exchange server (not on DC).

You can go with steps as per below article and you will not get any error...

HI,
Are you tiring to install Exchange 2010 on Windows 2008 Domain Controller or member server ?
Check permissions of user which you used for install. That user need Schema admin,Enterprise admin, and Domain admin to extend schema.

Hi,

If you run the Exchange 2010 Setup wizard with an account that has the permissions required (Schema Admins, Domain Admins, and Enterprise Admins) to prepare Active Directory and the domain, the wizard will automatically prepare Active Directory and the domain.

However, if you're deploying a new Exchange organization, and you're preparing your Active Directory schema and domains by using a computer running Windows Server 2008, you must first install the Active Directory management tools on the Windows Server 2008 computer prior to preparing the schema or domains. To do this, run the following command.
ServerManagerCmd -i RSAT-ADDS
