Made the jump from 2003 - 2010 a week ago and havent run into any serious hitches. I am, however, starting to see a minor bug where Outlook 2007 users will click on a folder other than the inbox (sent items, user created folders) and the folder will appear empty. If they try and sort via date or name or anything of that nature all the mail items reappear. Strange. Anyone seen anything like this?

what is the service pack or roll-up applied on exchnage 2007?

Hi,
Same experience here after moving mailboxes from exchange 2007 to exchange 2010. It happens only when mailboxes reside on the Exchange 2010 server. Applied all latest updates for outlook and also roll up 1 for exchange 2010, but doesn't help.

Hi

We are also having the same issue, with folders appearing empty intermittently. We have applied the Exchange roll up 4. Any suggestions would be greatful.

Thanks

TG

Hi,

installing the above hotfix didn't resolve the issue for us. Still having the empty folder problem. I've found a way to repro it. It happens also when using the grouping panel and dragging column headers in and out. Every now and then outlook gives the 'there are no items to show in this view' message.Clicking on a column header or switching folders shows the items again.

Are you running in cached mode?

Did you try resetting the view?

Anyone found a fix for this besides updating the client to Outlook 2010?

Did you try resetting the view?

Are you using cached mode?

Goofiness is usually either corrupt view or network problems.

We've seen the same problems. Again, users are running Outlook 2007 and server is at Exchange 2010. Either refreshing or clicking off/back in to the folder brings the emails back. Seems to be intermittent and can't find any reason why.

When refreshing folders fixes the problem, it usually means NAT router or Network issues. How many exchange servers are in the network? Have you looked for DNS issues (especially if public folders are involved)

I am having the same problem of folder items appearing and disappearing when I click on it. We have Exchange 2010 and are using Outlook 2007 client. I see that several people experienced this problem. Has anyone found a solution??
