We are running Exchange Server 2007 and have all the latest updates. I think the last rollup I installed was version 7 for sp1. It is not a DC. It has been running smoothly until a few weeks ago when I have been getting reports from users that OWA will load, however if they click on a message to read it, they get the following error
" Outlook Web Access was unable to perform the operation that you requested. Please refresh your web browser and try again."
If you wait a few minutes it seems to start working again.
In the application log, the closest thing that I can find that may be related to it is the following error, however I am unable to find much out about it. I already have .net framework 3.5 sp1 and all windows updates are current. Does anyone have any ideas?

I have the same issue however these show up as warnings in the event viewer and as far as I know there has not been any reported client issues. There are a view hotfixes out there for .net 3.5 sp1 but nothing that relates exactly to this issue. I am curious to see what the cause of this is.

I have also been getting this error; this is happening on exchange 2007 sp1 with rollup 8; installed on server 2008 standard.
Does anyone have any ideas on what could be causing this?

I applied that fix but it didn't make any difference. Any other suggestions?

I'm sure you've figured this issue out by now, but I just experienced the same error message today with a user " Outlook web access was unable to perform the operation that you requested. Please refresh your web browser and try again" and I could not find a solution to it whilst searching Google. The fix for me was simply to add the OWA url to the web browser's Trusted Sites List (I'm using IE7). Hope that helps anyone.

This one surely helped: happened to some but not all of our desktops. started happening since last week and it may have to do with a windows update.

I found the solution and it is to add the OWA link to your Trusted Sites. This help to fix the errors.
