MSOffice 2007 Outlook functions on most levels, but crashes on specific email's when a reading pane is open or the email opened. Event history shows "ID: 6, Application Name: Microsoft Office Outlook, Application Version: 12.0.6535.5005, Microsoft Office Version: 12.0.6425.1000. This session lasted 31 seconds with 0 seconds of active time. This session ended with a crash." with an event ID of 7001. It does not crash as long as I don't open a few specific email's. The emails are from reliable sources (like garmin.com and ebay.com) The old Outlook 2000 never had this problem. Help?

Try opening the emails in Outlook safe mode and check if it helps.

Click on Start > Run > Outlook /safe and hit on Enter.

Note: Space between Outlook and (/) slash.

I solved my Outlook 2010 reading pane crash. I had installed it and everything worked great. About a week later, I installed some Helvetica fonts. I now realize that's what started my reading pane crashes. Even if I had reading pane closed and tried to open some messages, it would crash. I uninstalled all Helvetica fonts and, voila, no more crashes.
