Using Exchange 2003 and Outlook 2010, we have an Outlook 2010 group policy set up using the Office 2010 admin template. The GPO is set to extend the period free busy information is published and to publish a list of safe senders to Outlook, all other settings are not configured. When this Group policy is enabled and Outlook 2010 is set to deliver to a local pst, outlook crashes at startup. When Outlook is run in safe mode or with the client machine disconnected from the LAN, Outlook 2010 works fine. It appears the Group policy is causing Outlook to crash. Disabling the GPO allows Outlook to start normally. PSTs are stored on the local client.
We have used the same group policy settings for Outlook 2003 and Outlook 2007 with their each version's office admin templates with no issues delivering to PSTs.
Any advise on the way forward with the 2010 office admin template and delivering to a pst will be greatly appreciated.
