Outlook 2007 client on Exchange 2003 server mailbox
Outlook Client as Published Application on Citrix servers (7 in total)
the Master Category List (Color categories) is only visible if the Outlook client opens on the Citrix server where the first category was created. Creating a new category when the client is opened on another server makes the MCL visible for that session but the newly created category shows as 'not in MCL'. Closing and reopening a new Citrix Outlook session on that same server reverts to not showing the MCL. Only when Outlook opens on the citrix server where the first category was created does the MCL show immediately and do newly created categories end up being added to the MCL.
Since Citrix is loadbalancing there is no telling where the Outlook client will open next, futhermore it is impossible for our 250+ users to detect on wich of the 7 servers they were working when they at first created their custom categories.
Strangely when whe try logging on to any citrix server via a Custom ICA connection (which gives users a desktop environment, rather than only a published application) and open the Outlook client, the MCL will show on all Citrix servers.
I understand this is more a Citrix related problem so I started posting on the Citrix forums and have asked our SysAdmin to open a call with Citrix, but I'm hoping somebody (a Microsoft Programmer perhaps) can shed a light on the cause of this weird behaviour, which may then lead us to a solution or workaround.
Many thanks in advance.
