I Have been an Outlook user for years and as of yesterday I wasn't able to send out emails...I get an error report :

Task pop.west.cox.net - sending reported error (0x800CCC80): None of the authentication methods supported by this client are supported by your server.

I spoke with cox and made sure my incoming and outgoing settings were ok and then they sent me to you. Thanks in advance for your help

Probably Norton's email scanner, if you're using it. Download and run the Norton Removal Tool to completely uninstall your Norton product (the uninstaller included with the package leaves lots of debris all over your system), then re-install it WITHOUT any email scanning components/modules/features and see if the problem persists. Note that disabling the email scanner will not correct the issue, only uninstalling it will work.

Why You Don't Need Your Anti-Virus Program to Scan Your E-Mail
