Keeping categories when replying or forwarding mail

In previous versions of Outlook, when I assigned a category to an incoming message, the reply or forwarded message was automatically assigned the same category. I can't seem to be able to do this with Outlook 2010. For Outlook 2007 there was even a manual fix where you had to make a change in the windows registry, but don't know how to solve the problem now that I'm using Outlook 2010.

Unfortunately that is the solution that I had used for Outlook 2007, but it doesn't work for Outlook 2010. I couldn't even find the relevant entry in the Windows registry.

Thanks, but I already tried that hard and there simply is no option of a rule that does the job.

I just found a solution in a different forum. Include a new policy in the registry key

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Policies\Microsoft\office\14.0\outlook\preferences
"SendPersonalCategories"=dword:00000001

It's similar to Enlightner's suggestion above, except that I found the right key to put the policy in in Windows 7.
