I recently upgraded from Outlook 2007 to Outlook 2010. When Outlook sends/receives and downloads new messages from my accounts (I have one POP3 and one IMAP) it marks some messages as read even when they have not been viewed. It is not every message. It is not every person who sends an email. It is not only certain people who send emails.
I have gone into the settings for the reading pane and uncheck all 3 of the options there, but some messages are still marked as read as soon they download. This is really frustrating because I can't keep up with what's been read and what has not.
Any suggestions on how to fix this issue?
