why 'Open' pst. data files link only to My Documents? Outlook archive and data files are stored in Local App

When you try to Open a data file (where pst. data and archive files are stored), the screen takes you to My Documents. Outlook does not store these files in My Documents, but in Local Apps. How do you get the Open File screen to go directly to the proper source file?

Did you use a previous version of Outlook before using Outlook 2010? The default location of PSTs used to be %LocalAppData%\Microsoft\Outlook but now it's Documents. If you had an existing mail profile when you installed Outlook 2010, Outlook would have detected it and used it, with the files in the locations the mail profile indicated. New files, however, will go to the new default.
