Hi,

It"s by design. You have to input the username and password manually.

When using MAPI (Exchange) account, Outlook will first use the Windows login account to authenticate with the Exchange server. If it failed (because your computer is not in domain and you are using a local windows account), then you will be asked to input the user name and password manually. This is why the domain user can log into his own mailbox without inputting the user name and password.

Please remember to click “Mark as Answer” on the post that helps you, and to click “Unmark as Answer” if a marked post does not actually answer your question. This can be beneficial to other community members reading the thread. Thanks Gen Lin

well, the "his own" mailbox is not the problem. One password will be stored - even if the computer is not within a domain.

By the way, in Windows 7 everything works. Multiple accounts, multiple passwords - stored. Not in (the exchange-) Domain either.
