Install of Outlook 2010 Not Working

Not open for further replies.

I've just installed Office 2010 on my computer and when I run it, it says "This data file has not been configured". Then it looks for a *.pst file which I searched but can't find anywhere on my PC. So I can't even start it up. My Outlook Express 6 can still read emails but cannot send or reply to. I'm stuck and cannot even transition. Help!

If this is the first time you've had Outlook, then it seems reasonable that you won't have a PST until you configure your mail profile. Do that in the Mail applet in Control Panel.

Create a new profile for outlook and then check if it resolves your issue. Click here for information on creating outlook profiles.
