I purchased and loaded Office 2010. Formerly I was using Office 2000 with Outlook Express. For several reasons, I can no longer use Outlook Express. I'm trying to switch to Outlook 2010. I have set Outlook 2010 to use my POP3 internet mail account and I can send e-mail ok, but I can't download my mail from the internet mail server. I am using windowws XP Pro service pack 3 in a peer to peer network.

Do you get any error number or error message?

Restart the computer in clean boot and check if you receive the emails.

Note: Restart the computer in normal mode later.

I did the clean boot. No change.

There are no error messages. The dialog box that pops up ends normally. Says the tasks (send and receive) were sucessful. All of my e-mails are still on the server.

Check the test account settings, following the steps below.

1. Open Outlook Click on File> Account settings> Account settings

2. Double click on the account

3. Click on "Test account Settings"

Check if you get any error.

Thanks for all your help. The "Repair" optiion in Office 2010 Setup apparently fixed the problem. This thread should be closed.
