We have Deployed a Ent. 2010 Resource forest and all is working great except for one aspect. We have used Windows NLB on the CAS servers for what we thought would be load distribution. Because all our users are outside the resource forest/domain, setting us a CAS RPC Array appeared to be a mute point and not needed in this configuration as it needs to be in each domain the clients are in. Anyhow, what is occuring is that the clients are randomly (or what appears to be randomly) connecting in an unevenly manner to one of the CAS servers. Lets say CAS01 and CAS02. So out of say 1000 users, I'll have 300 connections on CAS01 and 700 CAS02. We alos have multiple domains connecting. All clients are on the same logical network, not going thru any firewalls etc. So my question is, how do we get the 2 (soon to be 3) CAS servers to balance the traffic properly? Of course I'm also affraid of fault tollerance, if they are pointing to the back end of the NLB adapter, that means if one goes down, those users are down right! PLEASE HELP! There is very little documentation on this side of the house for this specific scenerio.
Thanks - MIke
