I'm receiving duplicate emails

I'm working in an office that has microsoft Outlook, and I have been having some troubles with my inbox. Everytime a message comes through there is always a duplicate along with it of the same email. I have gone to the advanced options through the send/receive for the email accounts and told it not to do this, and it stops until the following morning when it does it again. Is there any way to fix this?

Where in advanced options are you telling Outlook not to download duplicates?

The usual cause of duplicates is rules - add stop processing to each rule to prevent dupes. Leaving mail on the server can also cause duplicates, but the duplicates come during a later mail poll.
